Founding Story
Picture this: a fusion of beauty and technology that transcends the ordinary. After over a decade in the Direct-to-Consumer industry, working closely with renowned brands like Estee Lauder and Kung Fu Tea, Mai Shi found herself pondering this very concept.
Drawing from her marketing expertise from the beauty, lifestyle, SASS and blockchain technology, Mai and her team embarked on a mission.
After researching thousands of hours with consumer frustrations—the time and money spent on nail salons, the boring options in drugstores, and the disappointment of cheap press-ons that barely lasted. Driven by these insights, what if team set out to create a solution tailored for the dynamic, on-the-go generation.
But our vision went beyond just delivering high-quality, long-lasting press-ons. At What If, we're all about pushing boundaries. That's why we seamlessly integrated NFC technology into our products.
NFC, or Near Field Communication, lets you share small payloads of data between an NFC tag (in our nails) with phone devices. Our platform empowers you to personalize your nails with a range of functions.
