One of the biggest complaints people have about press-ons - they are so easy to pop. We don't want you to suffer with that awkwardness - a naked finger without the press ons. Ready to nail your press-on game? Whatif nails is not shy to share the secret sauce to long-lasting nails – it all begins with the one and only nail prep!
First things first, get your tools ready:
- Nail File (included in the What if package)
- Cuticle Pusher Stick (included in the What if package)
- Alcohol pad (included in the What if package)
- Clipper (optional, recommended for short length press ons)
Just like doing your manicure, prep is key! Start with a thorough cleaning of your hands. After you wash and dry your hands thoroughly, push back your cuticles to remove excess skin using a cuticle pusher.
Then use the provided nail file to gently file your nail beds enough to create a rough surface for the nail glue to adhere to. It's suggested to file from the side towards the center to protect your own nails.
After, you should make sure to clean your real nail with an alcohol prep pad to ensure there are no oils or dirt on your hands. This is important because your nails are like a clean canvas, you want it to be dry and clean and ready for adhesives.
Nail prep is done and you are 50% more likely to have a 3-week long wear. Follow the remaining steps here to finish applying the press ons.
